Jigme Lingpa

In the 18th century, while at Tsogyal Latso, Yeshe Tsogyal's birthplace in central Tibet, Jigme Lingpa had a vision in which he was given a casket containing five yellow scrolls and seven crystal beads which he then ate. One of these contained the prophetic guide for the now well known terma (treasure) of Yumkha Dechen Gyalmo, Queen of Great Bliss which is part of the Longchen Nyingthik. Jigme Lingpa kept this terma a secret and only later, at the insistence of the dakinis, did he transmit it. Today, the nuns of Tsogyal Latso continue to practice the Yeshe Tsogyal Longchen Nyingthik sadhana . —Dechen Chodron
